Privacy policy

Lazurd (Lazurd for Ready Meals Preparations Co, commercial licence no. 338576, Kuwait) runs this store and lazurd.com. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, who sees it, and how you stay in control. We follow Kuwait's Data Privacy Protection Regulation issued by CITRA (Resolution No. 42 of 2021) and the privacy chapter of the Electronic Transactions Law (Law No. 20 of 2014, Articles 32 to 36).

What we collect

Your name, phone number, email address and delivery address.
Your orders: what you bought, when, the delivery slot, and any notes such as a cake message or an allergy.
Your account details, if you create an account.
Messages you send us on WhatsApp, email or Instagram.
Device and browsing data collected by cookies: pages visited, device type, rough location, and how you use the site.

We never see your full card number. Payments are handled by our payment provider and KNET, who send us only a confirmation.

Why we use it

To prepare and deliver your order, and to contact you about it.
To issue invoices and keep the records Kuwaiti law requires.
To answer your questions and handle complaints.
To send you offers and news by email or SMS, only if you opt in. You can opt out at any time.
To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
To keep the store secure and prevent fraud.

Our legal basis

We process your data with your consent, to carry out the order you placed with us, to meet our legal duties (for example keeping invoice and transaction records), and to protect our store from misuse. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing orders@lazurd.com. We will then delete your data, except what we must keep by law.

Who we share it with

Shopify, which hosts our store and stores your data on its servers.
Our payment provider and KNET, to take your payment.
Our delivery driver, who gets your name, phone number and address only.
Klaviyo, which sends our email and SMS messages, only if you have opted in.
Microsoft Clarity, which gives us anonymised analytics about how the site is used.
Kuwaiti authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

Where it is stored

Shopify, Klaviyo and Microsoft store data on servers outside Kuwait. They protect it under their own privacy commitments and security standards, and we only share what is needed for the purposes above.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records: five years, as required by Kuwaiti commercial and digital commerce rules.
Your account: until you close it or ask us to delete it.
Marketing consent: until you unsubscribe.
Analytics data: anonymised and kept for no more than 13 months.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

see the data we hold about you and get a copy of it
correct anything that is wrong
delete your data, or withdraw your consent
stop marketing messages

Email orders@lazurd.com from the address on your account, or message us on WhatsApp at +965 96627122. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We answer within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to CITRA, Kuwait's Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority.

Cookies

We use cookies that make the store work (your bag, your login) and analytics cookies that help us improve it. You can block cookies in your browser; the store will still work, but some features may not.

Children

Our store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their data, email us and we will delete it.

Security

Your connection to the store is encrypted. Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to serve you. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Changes

If we change this policy, the new version is posted here with the date it took effect. Last updated: 5 September 2026.
